As well on Sunday (10/16) Men and Women's soccer hosted SUNY Cobleskill home for both of their senior day games. The Men's team played first and had a lot of shots on goal but sadly none of them found the back of the net. They lost 0-2, with SUNY Colbeskill finding two goals early on in the game in the first half. The Second half remained scoreless for both teams. It was a chippy game with a total of 7 cards being called 3 on the badgers and 4 on SUNY with one of them being a red card. No one wanted to give an edge. Wyatt Moberg and Elliud Villarreal had two shots on goal and Arthur Clayton, Carter Hubley, William Paulson, and Merrick Meetze had one shot on goal.
Women's soccer played after and they were able to come out to an early lead in the first half with Ida Eames scoring assisted by Peyton Fairchild. Ida Eames was able to strike again 15 minutes later off of a penalty kick putting our Badgers up 2-0. That's how the score remained up until the late minutes of the second half. SUNY Colbeskill were able to fire a goal back but it was too little too late. As our Women Badgers were able to take the victory the final score being 2-1. Jordan Pelland, Jules Reed, and Dulce Niño were able to get a shot on goal as well. Isabel Atkisson was able to get 4 saves off of 5 shots as well. Ida Eames perfomance also earned her the Rookie of the Week title as well. This puts the women's record at 1-6-4.
Tuesday (10/18) Men's Soccer hosted NVU Lyndon at home. Lyndon came out to a very early lead within the first few minutes going up 0-1. But they couldn't hold the lead in the second half. Wyatt Moberg started the run off with a goal off a penatly kick tying the game 1-1 10 minutes into the second half. 5 minutes later Elluid Villarreal was also able to find the back of the net off of a free kick. Putting the badgers up 2-1. The nail in the coffin was scored by William Paulson assisted by Simon Benitez only another 5 minutes later. Putting the Badgers up 3-1 where the final score would stay. Elliud Villarreal and the newcomer Richard Schieferstin had two shots on goal with Richard Schieferstin nearly scoring but finding the post instead of the back of the net.
