Johnson Uses 3-Point Attack To Get Past UMA 85-52

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - Johnson State moved to 2-4 on the season with a 85-52 decision over the University of Maine-Augusta in the consolation game of the 14th Annual Ed Hockenbury Classic at Norwich University. The Badgers knocked down 18-of-35 (52%) 3-point field goals for the day an shot 52% overall from the field in the victory. Norwich defeated Colby-Sawyer 71-60 in the Championship game to earn the tournament crown.
The Badgers saw all 13 players in uniform score during the contest and were led by sophomore's Cody Camisa (Colchester, Vt./Colchester), who scored a career-high 14 points, and classmate Andy Bousono (Philadelphia, Penn./Esperanza), also scoring 14. Each drained four 3-point field goals. Senior Ian Passino (Peru, N.Y./Peru) added 13 points and junior Brian Phelps (Milton, Vt./Milton) knocked 4-of-6 3-point field goals to account for his 12 points on the day.
The Badgers forced 23 UMA turnovers on the day and saw Bousono knock down a 40-footer just before the half to give JSC a 41-28 halftime lead.
Senior Rob Key (New Britain, Conn./New Britain) was named to the All-Tournament Team for averaging nine points, six rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.5 assists while shooting 43% (6-14) from the field and 83% (5-6) from the free throw line.

Johnson State will finish their first semester schedule with a tilt at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts on Saturday at 4:00 pm while Maine-Augusta will travel to Endicott College on Monday night for their next game.
