JSC MBB Earns NAC Sportsmanship Award

 

JOHNSON, Vt. - The Johnson State College men's basketball team have been named the recipients of the 2011 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Team Sportsmanship Award.  The award is voted on by the head coaches in the league and is given to the program that best exemplifies the sportsmanship visions of the NAC.

 

"We are very proud of the quality of young man we currently have in our program," stated Head Men's Basketball Coach Michael Osborne.  "It is a testiment to our seniors Victor Abass, Rob Key, and Ian Passino and the examples they have set for this program over their respective basketball career's here at JSC.  We will continue to try and promote sportsmanship and the highest level of conduct amongst our team all the while being more and more competitive on the court and becoming a more successful program in terms of earning wins."

 

Johnson State completed their season at 8-17 overall, 4-10 North Atlantic Conference placing the Badgers in seventh place in the eight-team NAC and one-game out of qualifying for the NAC post-season.
