Husson Runs By Johnson 87-48

Sophomore Cody Camisa scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds to pace Johnson offensively on Saturday in a 87-48 loss at Husson

 

Bangor, Maine - The Eagles opened up a 19 point halftime lead to eventually beat Johnson State 87-48.  Johnson falls to 3-8 overall and 0-2 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and with the win Husson improves to 9-4, and 2-0 within the NAC.

 

Both Josh Jones and Daeshawn McMorrin tallied 13 points for the victorious Eagles.  Jones added 13 rebounds to his resume and McMorrin followed up with five helpers.  Husson's defense held the Badgers to a mere 32.1% shooting percentage in route to their second conference win.  The Eagle's offense matched their defensive efforts with a 45.3% field goal percentage of their own.

 

Johnson State was led by Cody Camisa (Colchester, Vt./Colchester) who totaled nine points and six rebounds for the Badgers.

 

Johnson will travel to Castleton State on Tueday night at 7:30 pm in their next contest while next up for the Eagles will be the Terriers of Thomas College, who they will play Tuesday in Waterville also at 7:30pm.
