Beavers Roll Past Johnson 62-44

JOHNSON, Vt. (January 21, 2011) -  The University of Maine-Farmington held host Johnson State College to 25% shooting in the first half to run out to a 35-13 halftime lead and coasted to a 62-44 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory on Friday night in Johnson.  The Beavers move to 6-8 overall and 3-1 in the NAC while Johnson falls to 3-9 overall, 0-3 NAC.

 

Farmington forced 12 Johnson turnovers in the first 20 minutes and senior Andrew Dean (Gorham, Maine) canned all three of his 3-point field goal attempts to run to the early cushion and never look back.

 

Senior Eric Taylor (Oakland, Maine) topped the Beavers with 15 points and six rebounds while Dean finished with 12 points and freshman Ben Johnson (Manchester, Maine) added nine points and nine rebounds.

 

Johnson saw sophomore Andy Bousono (Philadelphia, Penn.) score nine points to pace the Badgers while Cody Camisa (Colchester, Vt.) and Ian Passino (Peru, N.Y.) scored eight points apiece.

 

Johnson be back on the floor again on tomorrow at 4:00 pm when they play host to the Terriers of Thomas College while Farmington will travel east to face-off against Lyndon State College also tomorrow at 4:00 pm.
