Johnson State College has hired Iain Manson as JSC's new head men's soccer coach for the 2013-14 season.

"We are excited to welcome Iain Manson to Johnson State," said JSC Director of Athletics Jamey Ventura. "His knowledge of the game and extensive coaching experience will be a great addition to the Johnson soccer family."

Manson is currently the director of operations at Vermont Premier Soccer, where he helps with brand awareness, business strategy and community outreach. His Nordic Soccer Club U13G Premier team earned the title of 2013 Vermont state champions.    

Manson coaches a variety of age groups at various club levels on both the boys and girls side. Iain currently holds a United States Soccer Federation license, a National Soccer Coaches Association of America national youth diploma and a Scottish Football Association Level 3 license.

Prior to joining Vermont Premier Soccer, Manson was the academy director and head premier coach at Maine Premier Soccer.

About his move to Johnson State, Manson said that he "looks forward to helping his team reach its full potential," adding, "the upperclassmen's leadership on the field will be crucial to creating a forward momentum for Johnson men's soccer."
