Hostetter Earns 3rd NAC Rookie of the Week Recognition

JOHNSON, Vt. - Johnson State sophomore forward Chelsea Hostetter (Morrisville, Vt./Peoples Academy) has been named North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week for the third time on the young season.  Hostetter has led Johnson to an 8-2 start, 3-1 in the NAC.

Hostetter and the Badgers had a 1-1 week, both NAC contests, with a last-minute 1-0 loss at Husson University and a 4-0 win at Maine Maritime Academy.  In the win over MMA Hostetter scored all four JSC goals to give a her 14 goals and 35 points, both good enough to lead the NAC.

The Elementary Education major had sparked the Badgers to a seven-match win streak after losing a one-goal decision in the season-opener before host Husson scored with :37 seconds remaining in Saturday's contest.

Hostetter and the Badgers will play host to in-state and NAC rival Lyndon State College on Saturday, October 8 in their next contest with kick-off at 1:00 pm.
