WATERVILLE, MAINE – The Johnson State College women's tennis team has earned the second in the North Eastern Athletic Conference East Division Championship, which will be hosted by Castleton University on Saturday, October 8th.
The Badgers (8-4, 5-2 NEAC) will take on third seeded Husson (6-2, 5-2 NEAC) in the semifinal round, while Colby-Sawyer (10-1, 7-0 NEAC) will take on the host, Castleton (7-6, 4-3 NEAC). The semifinal round will begin at 10:00 a.m., with the winners meeting in the final round an hour after the opening matches are complete.
The NEAC East champion will take on NEAC West champion, which will be decided in spring 2017. The crossover champion will then receive an automatic berth to the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship. A video will be available early next week on the NAC website for fans to view the 2016 NEAC East Championship highlights.
