JOHNSON, Vt. - The two-year old Johnson State women's volleyball program, led by Head Coach Mark Kaufman, has been named the recipient of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Team Sportsmanship Award for 2010, the second consecutive season the have earned the honor.

The Badgers experienced a two-win improvement in 2010 and finished 3-18, 1-6 NAC to earn their first NAC playoff birth.  Though they experienced a 3-0 (25-14, 25-19, 25-9) defeat the program took positive steps in 2010 and sees in culminate in another recognition of the how the team competes and the respect they show opponents, officials, and the game.
