BANNER

The Badgers showed grit but couldn't slow down NAC's #1 ranked University of Maine–Farmington, falling 109-63 on Tuesday afternoon.

SUMMARY

Johnson came out competing, as Jason Baker knocked down a jumper and Darone Frierson added a layup to keep the Badgers within 6-4 early. A highlight dunk from Baker off a steal by Mohammed Semega at 13:06 cut the deficit to 14-19, and Joseph Gargiulo's three-pointer at 7:39 made it 23-35. However, Farmington closed the half on a 25-10 run to take a 60-33 lead into the break.

The Beavers stayed hot in the second half, with Jason Reynolds hitting back-to-back threes and a tip-in to push the margin to 68-35 just three minutes in. Johnson fought back behind Jordan Chisholm, who buried three triples in a four-minute span to make it 47-82. Jaylen Brown added a late dunk at 3:49, but Farmington's depth and shooting carried them to the 109-63 win.
